Why not be a nerd for the day? My sister and I think it's a pretty sweet way to spend our hours... stomping through our favorite park on a perfect fall day a few weeks back. Funky glasses? Check. Mixed Prints? Check. Letter Jacket? Check. It was all we needed to have a fabulous day embracing our inner nerd/John Lennon/ crazy cat lady. Enjoy!

Work It
Whether it's summer, spring, or winter break, my sisters and I always seem to bond more and more as the break goes on. With our busy schedules, it sometimes seems like we never see each other, but when we do, we like to make the most of it! So on Christmas day, we did one of our favorite things: a photo shoot. Decked out in our craziest editorial-like looks, nothing could be more fun than hanging with those two, photographing each other like we're professionals, and working our wacky outfits. This is what Christmas is all about, family togetherness, and it was fantastic. Happy Holidays!

Sunday Escapade

Winter is really here. Not always the loveliest time of year, but sometimes you can still find those earthy warm colors draping the land like confetti, cozy vibes soaking in every ounce of daylight, and that seasonal zest that literally lifts spirits. It’s officially the time for hot coffee or tea or whatever sort of thing you like, for snug sweaters and endless layers, and of course, outings to make sure we get out of the house once and a while. This is what Sundays are all about. Uncovering those one-of-a-kind places that feel so special that you don’t want to tell anyone about them, as if to keep them for yourself.
So this Sunday, I embarked on a little adventure. Just fifteen minutes away from my town of Webster Groves, I found Cherokee Street, a historical street that is up-and-coming with many coffee shops and vintage stores popping up everywhere. There, in the middle of it all, we found our treasure, a jewel of a store, The Heirloom Room.
This resale and consignment store, holds some of the most beautiful antiques home-wares, furniture, and knick-knacks ever. Seriously. With an ever growing inventory, and an eclectic mix of old and new, I can’t imagine a more perfect place to lose myself in. I managed to snap a few shots of the exquisite place, so take a look, and find some time to check it out at 2118 Cherokee Street, Saint Louis, MO. You will be blown away.

Nostalgic Days
Happy Winter Solstice! Although it may be discouraging that the days are so short this time of year, the good news is, they only get longer from here! It was a mellow day, rain coming and going sporadically, so I took some time flipping through photo albums, enjoying old faces, and nearly forgotten memories. A midst hundreds of selfies and pictures that should never see the light of day, I found some great pictures from one of the many photo shoots my sisters and I like to do. This was from a beautiful day last spring, a perfect day to get dressed up in some of our favorites and snap shots of each other in the gorgeous mid-day sun. During this time of the year, especially so close to the new year, it's sometimes important to take a look back on everything you did in the past months. It can bring a bit of warmth to your day. Have a lovely winter solstice and make the most of it!
